I'm a bit messy with it but, hey, everything's sticking and (relatively) level, right? Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen. Hikers can follow paths along a red maple swamp, cross wooden bridges, tackle rocky sections, and watch for Great Blue Herons, deer, turtles, and wild turkeys. (WHDH) – Fire crews battled a multi-alarm blaze in Manchester, New Hampshire, early Saturday morning that burned three homes and left 20 people displaced, officials said. COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — First responders rescued more people from floodwaters Wednesday as utility crews cleared trees and wires downed by severe storms in the Midwest that unleashed tornadoes, heavy rains and flash flooding, leaving hundreds of thousands of customers without electricity. PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Firefighters who responded to a fire at a Maine lumber mill used tactics that inadvertently contributed to a massive explosion that killed three people, according to a report from federal investigators. Attorney Keith F. Diaz founded Apis Law, PLLC to fight for injured people across New Hampshire. One can only assume that tubular nylon's lower cost accounts for its popularity in kits. Kevlar is stronger and more heat resistant. The outer tubular nylon 'sleeve' is getting a little crusty, but hasn't worn through yet. They have one TARC rocket with well over 100 flights with no apparent scorching on their shock cord. I know I can put a Kevlar sleeve over the nylon, but if I'm going to pay for that, why not just pay for a Kevlar harness to casino interac start with? Why wouldn't they just provide a 3 ft Kevlar harness? Also, I got my first MAC Performance kit and it came with a 3 ft nylon harness which makes even less sense to me.
Boston MedFlight is a nonprofit organization providing the highest level of critical care transport by air and ground to patients in need… "National Night Out has been a great event with the community enjoying this beautiful park, every year," said Ashley Caste, a longtime Groundsman II with the Department of Public Works Parks Department.
If your rocket club has rails, consider using them. If you want to launch the LONG-burn motors, you need a longer launch rod! The general rule of thumb for the rocket's minimum velocity (at the top of the launch rod/rail/tower) is 44 feet per second (or 30 MPH). I have the old standard Estes two piece rods AND a 4' length of one piece in both sizes. I have some nichrome left from the old days, mine was used for igniters for the old 21mm FSI engines in about 1965 or 1966. They sell 33 and 36 gauge. FYI…I just noticed that Always Ready Rocketry sells nichrome wire for DIY igniters.
That's just near a lifetime supply of nomex 'chute blankets and nylon harness covers. I've only flown the rocket 2 times, but went through at least 5 or 6 ground tests for both drogue and main. I've seen lots of heavy rockets being launched with motors having low initial thrust, and they just arc over and crash because they didn't achieve 30 MPH at the top of the launch rod. I would try a 40 gauge wire, or perhaps a 38 gauge if you wanted it to heat up a bit slower. You want the stuff on time and on location. Last time I ordered 3 8-foot rails it was $20 to ship ground (all in one box), Ohio to Maryland, which I felt was pretty cheap given the length.
Will be the first time I use Proline and the first extreme speed rocket that I am not doing tip to tip glass on… These seem to work OK to hold the 20mm rail to a piece of scrap 1×6 for the Jawstand bracket. I think I need to go with a simple flat/square nut of some kind. I buy T, square, nuts there all the time. I once ordered some stuff at 9 am morning……it arrived SAME day at 2.15pm! And I wish they could let you know up front what the shipping cost would be, but I guess they don't know until they see how stuff fits in the box. Plus now ground is based on dimensional weight. Hobbyist nickle & dime stuff, they are not geared for.
